Abyat: Two Films Built to Position a Developer, Not Just Launch Two Projects
Abyat was launching two major developments at the same ceremony — a 600-hectare integrated city and a 379,386 m² residential neighborhood already under construction. The brief wasn't to produce two promotional films. It was to design a strategic relationship between them — so that watching them back-to-back would do something neither film could do alone.

01 — The Challenge
The real problem wasn't making two films
Producing two films for the same developer is straightforward. Making them coexist in the same room, in front of the same audience, on the same evening — without one weakening the other — is not.
Two specific risks were driving the brief:
A standard approach — same template, same voice, two sets of footage — would have made both projects look smaller than they were. The brief required a different logic.
The two films couldn't just sit next to each other. They had to build something together.
02 — Strategy
Ambition and Proof
Before any script or visual work began, the relationship between the two films was defined.
Together, the two films delivered a single positioning that neither could deliver alone:
Abyat doesn't promise. Abyat executes.
Every decision — script structure, pacing, voice register, visual treatment — followed from this division of labor between the films.
03 — Production
A hybrid production model
The films combined three production streams, each chosen for what it could do that the others couldn't.
Live drone footage captured both sites as they exist today — the standing perimeter of Abyat Hills and the topography of the Modern Urban Community. This footage anchored the films in reality, not rendering.
After Effects architectural animation translated the masterplans into motion — boulevards, density gradients, infrastructure layers — at a level of clarity static renders cannot reach.
AI-generated supplementary visuals filled the gaps where neither drone nor animation could go: future life inside the developments, atmospheric establishing shots, controlled scene compositions matched to the script's pacing.
AI voice production delivered the narration in elevated classical Arabic, calibrated for ceremonial delivery — measured, documentary in register, free of advertising cadence.
The result wasn't two films that happened to share a client. It was a coordinated launch sequence — two films engineered to work in succession.
04 — Outcome
The outcome
Both films premiered at the official launch ceremony at Dama Rose Hotel, Damascus, in front of government ministers, senior officials, and prominent public figures. They were then released across Abyat's social platforms, extending the launch from a private ceremony to a national audience.
The films now function as Abyat's institutional positioning — used in investor conversations, partnership discussions, and ongoing brand communication. Not two project videos. One strategic argument.
This is what AI-assisted production can do when it's directed by strategy — not just used as a faster way to make content.
